ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Cincinnati, OH – 12,104 s.f.

This branch library is a consolidation of two neighboring branches funded entirely by private donations. The result is the largest branch with the most computers within Cincinnati city limits, and the most advanced technology of all library branches in Hamilton County.

The new facility is organized architecturally around three separate and prominent stack areas (children’s, teens, adults) that are illuminated by double-height windows. 27 computer stations with free wi-fi are interspersed throughout, and a program/meeting area that seats 50 is also available.

The support functions of the library are tucked away behind the circulation desk. The dramatic interior incorporates abundant natural light, an open floor plan, and an inviting color scheme, all in an environment that is designed to promote interactive learning.
