ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Multiple Locations in Cincinnati & Columbus Area – 5,678 s.f.

As a recognized local institution to the greater Cincinnati region, United Dairy Farmers needed a refreshed appearance that fit the modern consumer’s tastes as well as incorporated their new equipment and services.

The new 5,678 square foot prototype with accompanying gas canopy uses a residential craftsman style that is appropriate in both historic and modern neighborhoods. The stone base, dark red brick and board and batten siding with white trim and gables seamlessly tie the gas canopy and the store together at each location. The dormers flanking the entry help provide vertical accents to an otherwise horizontal composition and give the space more natural daylighting.

Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by a large vaulted ceiling with wood bead board cladding. Colorful signage helps to direct customers to the coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, beer or groceries. An enlarged parlor space surrounded by glazing provides customers a space to comfortably mingle while watching traffic outside.
