FIRST FEDERAL COMMUNITY BANK

CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS & EDUCATION CENTER

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Dover, Ohio – 24,300 s.f.

First Federal Community Bank approached K4 to develop a signature building for their new corporate headquarters and education center in Dover, OH. K4’s approach to the project was to create a more modern, open and inviting building using unique materials not found in the area – such as dark brick, cultured stone, a metal veneer panel system, and large expanses of glass. Several areas of the building have custom, full-glass corners, allowing for ultimate visibility and natural light throughout.

The retail bank branch in the building was positioned at the corners of Ohio and North Wooster Avenues. The intention was to provide better visibility of the building from both streets, as well as easy access to the drive thru. The drive thru was strategically placed under the balcony & offices of the second floor.

At First Federal Community Bank they say, “investing in our community isn’t just a slogan – it’s the way we do business.” With this philosophy in mind, they wanted to create a community room/event space that could accommodate up to 100 people and be used by both the bank and the public. The new community room is directly adjacent to the break room, separated by a fully functional glass garage door, offering flexibility for two separate or one large space.

The interior of building was designed to be warm & inviting, starting with a fireplace lit lobby. In addition, First Federal provided their own furniture and heavy wood Amish casework to add to the atmosphere. Their main brand color, blue, was utilized in accents all throughout the space. For employee retention, there are the benefits of a game room and an exercise room with access to a shower.
