ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Union City, IN – 5,500 s.f.

The exploration of converting a non-utilized bank branch into a vibrant, branded space for First Financial Bank has been a testament to the power of transformation and design innovation. Located just down the street from their former branch, this space offered more room and greater efficiency.

The exterior posed a unique challenge due to the neglected state of the building and different materials compared to a typical First Financial branch. K4 undertook the task of preserving the unique architectural features while modernizing the exterior to meet the bank's branding standards. This harmonious blend of the old and the new would become a defining aspect of the project.

Inside, K4 recognized the importance of preserving the existing interior office space while renovating the rest to create a more efficient branch. A highlight of the remodel was the inclusion of a versatile conference room, a valuable community resource. By introducing First Financial Bank's standard colors and finishes, K4 brightened the space, ensuring consistency and brand integrity.

One of the project's significant achievements was the remarkable improvement in operational efficiency. The new branch outperformed the branch they had just vacated. The integration of drive-through lanes within the building allowed tellers to assist clients seamlessly, whether in the branch or at the drive-through, enhancing the overall customer experience.

The result is a branch that not only serves as a testament to First Financial Bank's dedication to its customers but also as a revitalized community resource that embodies the bank's ethos of progress and community engagement.
