ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Louisville, KY – 57,418 s.f.

The Commonwealth Credit Union Administration Building remodel presented a great opportunity for the K4 design team to showcase their skill set in revitalizing a physical space while simultaneously energizing the work atmosphere. This was a 57,418 SF remodel where the K4 team worked diligently to bring to life CCU’s vision of brand consistency, efficiency, open collaboration, and culture.

The design goals of the project included:

Relocate the branch entrance and member parking for direct member access

Decrease the size of the existing branch while orienting the teller pods closer to the branch entrance

Maximize both efficiency and operations by bringing multiple departments to a Centralized Administration Building with over 200 workstations and 24 offices

Customize furniture options, casework layouts, and graphics to each department and private office while still maintaining connections to the overall CCU brand

The remodel allowed CCU to bring employees from various locations into one building where the staff could benefit from new open collaboration spaces, and their work culture could be celebrated in branding and graphics throughout the building.
