ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Lima, OH – 2,340 s.f.

Topmark Credit Union found success in the Cridersville, OH market with the purchase and branded remodel of a former Chase Bank branch. They decided to expand their branch network in Lima, OH with the same strategy. Enter K4 Architecture + Design to duplicate their design efforts to achieve brand consistency for Topmark with another existing Chase bank branch acquisition and remodel in a different demographic area.

Although the Lima facility was more traditional than Cridersville, K4 rose to the challenge and was able to incorporate TopMark’s brand elements throughout, including their iconic tower. K4 rendered multiple exterior concepts to show how painting the building and adding the tower feature could reflect TopMark’s strong exterior brand, and the results were a great success.

For the interior, K4 converted the space to create brand consistency amongst the separate locations, reflective of the excellent member service TopMark provides across two East-Central Ohio counties.

A design challenge was working within a long and narrow space to develop a concept with two (2) pods, four (4) offices, a teller work room utilizing the existing vault, an ATM/Night Deposit Room, an employee break area, and two ADA Restrooms. K4 and TopMark decided to continue with the open pods concept vs. traditional teller line to reinforce the warmer, friendlier environment that encourages deeper interaction between members and employees. In efforts to make connections to this new community, a graphic history wall displays key milestones in the community’s past.
