ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Newark, OH – 3,479 s.f.

United Dairy Farmers is a Cincinnati hometown favorite and leader at the forefront of the c-store renaissance. They’ve mastered the art of brand consistency through prototype development and rollout, as well as streamlining store layout to create an inviting shopper experience.

This 3,479 S.F. remodeled store in Newark, OH is the first store to blend the design of both commercial and residential prototypes – seamlessly integrating the efficiency and accessibility of a commercial space with the inviting familiarity of the residential environment. This innovative approach not only redefines the convenience store experience but also encapsulates the essence of modern consumer demands.

The design challenge involved translating the established essence of a well-known convenience store brand onto a smaller footprint, while preserving the brand elements and finishes that define its identity across multiple locations. Balancing the brand's visual consistency with the spatial limitations demands a creative approach that maximizes every inch without compromising the integrity of the brand's recognized aesthetic.

The blend of structural intricacies, challenging location, and the restoration of an aging building presented us with an opportunity to transform potential demolition into an exceptional remodel, showcasing adaptive design and sustainable rejuvenation.

We are truly honored to once again collaborate with United Dairy Farmers on yet another project, this time of a distinct type, as it reflects their continued trust in our design expertise and the strength of our partnership.
